Compex: warehouse management with Android MDE

Compex has enhanced its warehouse management software with convenient HTML5 user interfaces for Android-based MDEs. The enhancement makes full use of the higher performance resulting from the combination of Android and HTML5. This enables customers to further accelerate processes such as order picking in their warehouses.

The new HTML5 interfaces support all functions and processes in the warehouse that are generally assisted by MDEs: during stock-taking, at Goods Issue, as well as all the internal transport processes such as stockpiling, relocation or replenishment.

Due to the performance benefits, masks build faster. On the clearly laid out surfaces, users can grasp the content much easier and faster. Consequently, the new masks boost productivity whenever warehouse workers have to absorb new information at short intervals and convert it into actions. The new interface can be operated via touchscreen, keyboard or both, depending on the device.

"A better view, faster usability – such improvements can accelerate even highly optimized warehouse processes," said Christophe Loetz, Managing Director of Compex Systemhaus GmbH. "HTML5 has had real impact that we have harnessed for warehouse logistics."

Compex Commerce has always been browser-based. The software can be used on PC / laptop and MDE. It connects to mobile scanners and other external devices. In addition to logistics and warehouse management, the standard software Compex Commerce includes merchandise management, store merchandise management and financial accounting.
