Logistics  |  Warehouse Management

"In here, out there." Warehouses work efficiently when the direction is clear at every corner, at all times. That is the job of warehouse management. It translates complex processes into clearly structured instructions. With Compex Commerce, warehouses can be precisely modeled, while warehouse processes can be dynamically optimized and efficiently controlled. Our decades of experience have resulted in the numerous functions and details that our software depicts.

Graphic warehouse modeling

Precise control is based on the precise depiction of the warehouse characteristics. The graphic warehouse modeling records:

  • Structurally separate units (buildings, floors, etc.)
  • Topography (network of paths, areas, etc.)
  • Technology (shelf types, cooling, etc.)
  • Equipment (forklifts, etc.)
  • Logical assignments (zones, work areas, etc.)

Skilful warehouse planning is the first step towards optimized processes. Dynamic assignments by the warehouse management software open up leaway for continued flexibility.

Dynamic order and optimized flow of goods

Our warehouse management offers all relevant processes to control the flow of goods in a warehouse. These include:

  • Cross docking
  • Shuttle transports
  • Multi-stage transports
  • Picking (multi-level and parallel)

Compex Commerce optimizes the flow of goods in many ways, increasing the utilization of a warehouse's capacity. Examples:

  • Dynamically managed storage locations
  • Path-optimized storage
  • Reserve near the picking area
  • Automatically initiated replenishment control
  • and much more

General skills

  • Incoming goods office / reception
  • NVE / SSCC support
  • Storage route-optimized
  • Cross docking
  • Rearrangement
  • Picking (multi-level + parallel)
  • Outgoing goods and dispatch processing
  • Inventory (key date, permanent or stochastic)
  • Other bookings of goods

Assortments

Many goods require special technical equipment, for example sufficient cooling. (See modeling.) But that's not all. The warehouse management software must be able to capture and manage characteristics that are specific to certain goods.

Compex has already implemented warehouse management systems for numerous industries and product ranges. Here is a selection including some special features:

  • Dry goods (includes monitoring of sell-by dates)
  • Fresh & frozen (includes temperature recording)
  • Fruit & vegetables (includes IFCo box processing)
  • Meat (includes batches, provisions)
  • Sanitary, building materials, technical products (includes management of batch, lot, series)
