Kaiser's Orders 1,500 Nordic ID Devices
Kaiser's Tengelmann (KTAG) is about to equip its approximately 700 stores with 1,500 new mobile data collecting devices. KTAG opted for the Nordic ID mobile computers "PL3000" that run on the Windows operating system.
The decision to purchase the devices was taken with regard to the current rollout of the new merchandise management system based on Compex. The devices are connected to the new system through a web application via WLAN and VPN. This allows the KTAG employees to perform business processes, such as MRP, goods receipt and goods issue, inventory and stock transfers. Some 5,000 KTAG employees are expected to work with the devices once the delivery is concluded.
