Compex as partner of "Strategy Circle - Retail" in Munich
For the first time, Compex Systemhaus GmbH was a partner of the annual "Strategy Circle - Retail" in Munich. According to the organizer, the meeting is the major trade networking event of the year. It took place on April 14/15 and gathered the most important decision-makers of Germany's leading trading companies. This includes Otto, EDEKA, METRO, Media-Saturn, Euronics, Rewe, Hornbach and Hagebau.
In several presentations the participants learned about new trends concerning the trade industry in present and in future. Multi-channel retailing, the development of consumer behavior due to the demographic change, success factors in customer service, and perspectives in e-Commerce were just some of the topics the visitors were highly interested in.
With its software application Compex Commerce, Compex also attracted interest among the participating companies and held a number of interesting conversations.
One-on-one conversations and presentations
Besides the opportunity to discuss current trade industry topics either individually or in groups, the event also offered a number of industry-specific presentations. Compex customer Kaiser's Tengelmann, represented by its IT Director Dieter Beye, also held a presentation on "IT consolidation and process optimization without media disruptions - Replacing ten legacy systems at Kaiser's Tengelmann GmbH". In the context of his presentation, Dieter Beye talked about the implementation of Compex Commerce at Kaiser's Tengelmann, Germany's sixth largest food retailer. He gave a detailed explanation on the preparations of the project up to the final rollout.
"We were partnering this event for the first time and we noticed that the participants were highly interested in our innovative and sophisticated software solutions", says Jörg Kiss, Senior Manager for product and process management at Compex. "Due to the large number of new contacts we realized that the commercial market is in motion, and we also perceived this dynamic atmosphere during the event. The interest in the event was that large that we were able to get in touch with more than 30 new prospects", says Patricius Krause, Sales and Marketing Director at Compex.
