Review of the sixth Compex Commerce Forum
"What moves commerce" was this
year's motto of the well-attended Compex Commerce Forum of Compex
Systemhaus GmbH in Mainz. More than 70 participants accepted the
invitation of the Heidelberg software expert. It has been the sixth
time that Compex invited the IT decision makers of the retail
industry for an exchange of information.
The event focused on the IT world of the retail industry, its
trends and visions, the latest technological product solutions and
best practices of the retailers Kaiser's Tengelmann AG (KTAG) as
well as Penny CZ. The visit of one of the largest central
warehouses in the foods industry running Compex Commerce topped off
the varied agenda.
Topics that move commerce
At the beginning of the Compex Commerce Forum, Holger Klug, Business Development Director of Oracle Deutschland GmbH, presented what moves commerce from Oracle's perspective. Prof. Dr. Hertel's presentation, CEO of Dacos GmbH, focused on the optimization of assortments, prices and promotions. The CEO of Nordic ID GmbH, Lothar Struckmeier, presented the latest trends in the sector of mobile solutions. During a live demonstration the audience could get an impression of the synergy of the latest mobile innovations and the Compex software solution Compex Commerce. Dieter Beye, Information Systems Manager of the Kaiser's Tengelmann AG, informed the audience about the implementation of Compex Commerce at KTAG, Germany's sixth largest food retailer. Thies vom Hofe, System Analyst of the pick-by-voice expert zetes GmbH, demonstrated the newest features of voice-controlled devices in the logistics sector in a live presentation. The final presentation was given by Jan Svatek, IT Manager Penny CZ, who explained how the number one on the Czech discount market implemented Compex Commercein only sixth month.
Renowned event with increasing attendance
"The forum has established itself as a high-level platform for a lively exchange of ideas and information between our long-term customers and prospects", says Christophe Loetz, General Manager of Compex Systemhaus GmbH. "We are giving the participants the opportunity to gather information on innovative and sophisticated solutions as well as on efficient retail processes. The interest in our products has increased considerably this year, so that we met more than 40 new prospects".
