The business software Compex Commerce^® generates documentation according to the ISO standard and models the business processes

Compex extends the possibilities of documentation within its standard software Compex Commerce^®. The leading software vendor for retail and wholesale is the first to offer an integrated possibility to quickly and easily document processes while graphically modelling them partially without editing any text. This feature is called Model Driven Documentation (MDD). Compex customers can now automatically create different documentation types based on their individually adjusted and graphically viewable business model.

This linkage allows not just the standardization of documentation through referring to a companies' organizational structure it also meets the criteria for an ISO certification. Documents like feasibility studies, process specifications (PS) or the online help are much faster and easier to create via MDD and are always up to date. This applies to the creation of user and training manuals as well in the near future.

One click to generate a document

The user obtains his documentation with just one click. If there are any adoptions to the software modifications are reflected in the corresponding documentation at once. To generate a documentation, the MDD processes relate data to the companies' business model, the reference framework delivered by Compex and other texts. These texts contain information to workflows, operations, tasks and screens. Key benefit is that the user has to modify documentation only at just one place (single point of truth) and the modifications can be used in various documentations at different places. Fixed text like the headline of a chapter or cover letter text for instance, is modified by the user in one single table of the database.

International

The MDD supports multi national languages (MNLS) like Compex Commerce itself. The documentation language can be predefined. In the reference model delivered with Compex Commerce, the texts are available in German, English, French and Croatian. Over MDD it is possible to integrate images and graphics at any time. Users can also create screenshots in PNG format (portable network graphic) or use external images which are transferred from the client to the server side.
